Family House is able to operate thanks to the support of generous individual donors. We welcome all levels of donations, whether it is a one-time gift, a monthly donation or the establishment of a matching gifts program.

The is the prefect time to reach out to those in need. If you are looking for an opportunity to help a struggling family, here are a few suggestions:

Adopt-a-Family

The Family House Adopt-a-Family program pairs former resident families with generous donors who provide the magic of the Christmas season for each family. The program entails purchasing two gifts for each child in the family, one family gift and providing gift certificates for the holiday meal all based on the family’s wish list. You can specify the size of the family you would like to support.

Provide Gift Cards

This is a real treat for current Family House residents. Gift cards from Wal Mart, Target, Old Navy and Safeway make great holiday gifts for our residents. We even use them for birthday celebrations throughout the year.

You can mail or personally deliver gift cards to Family House at 50 Irving Street, San Francisco, CA 94122, with a note saying “Gift Card Donation” on the envelope.

Underwrite an Adventure

Throughout the year our Outreach program provides fun and challenging outings and adventures for Family House children and their families. Ice skating, hiking, summer camp, museum trips are just a few of the fun activities that Family House children and their families enjoy. Donate $250 to underwrite an adventure; you can change a child’s life.

When you click on the Donate Now button on the upper right of this screen, you can designate your gift in "honor" of someone, their birthday, a graduation or any special event. When a loved one or friend passes away, a sympathy or memorial designation can allow your gift to live on through their memory.

Be sure to fill our the Designated Project line or the Dedication line whereby you have options of sending an e-card or email on your behalf, recognizing your gift.
